Advanced registration is now closed. If you did not yet buy a ticket, you will be able to buy a ticket as a walk-in at the event for $60. There are a few people who were having trouble buying a ticket on the site who emailed us over the last couple of weeks. Those people will get an email from me letting them know they can buy a walk-in ticket at the advance rate since it wasn’t their fault they weren’t registered before the deadline.

Walk-in attendees can pay with cash or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) when they arrive, and will receive a receipt by email, thanks to the nifty Square payments system we’ll be using (more on that later). Walk-ins will only get a shwag bag/t-shirt if we have extras, but in the event we run out we can mail a t-shirt to any walk-ins after the event.

Don’t forget: your name badge will have your gravatar printed on it. Go to the attendees page and find your name. If you have a gray “mystery man” icon next to your name, then you need to get a gravatar or add the email address you used to register for WordCamp to your existing Gravatar.com account. If you don’t have a gravatar, don’t worry, you can always draw a picture of yourself on your name badge after you get there tomorrow!

If you haven’t noticed, we’ve published the new Speakers page, which lists the speakers who have been confirmed so far for WordCamp San Francisco 2010. We’re still working out the schedule and additional speakers, but the ones we have confirmed so far should be enough to get you excited. Richard Stallman, founder of GNU (also called the father of open source)! Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress and founder of Automattic! Karl Fogel, founding developer of Subversion! Me, founder of the bestest cookies and panda raccoon! Just kidding, I felt left out for not founding something big.

Seriously, though, the lineup is going to be stellar, so keep an eye on the Speakers page. You can also sign up for email updates to get the latest WordCamp SF news delivered straight to your inbox. And if you haven’t registered yet, get your ticket now!

Registration is open, and you can now buy your ticket for WordCamp San Francisco 2010! Early bird tickets are $40 for the first hundred people to register, and regular tickets will be $50 after the early birds are sold out. Walk-in tickets will be available for $60. This year we’re trying something new to help offset the high cost of throwing an event in San Francisco, and are offering personal sponsorships. Intended for individuals and consultants who love WordPress and are doing well, these higher priced tickets run $250, $500, and $1000, and will provide opportunities for people to sponsor the event who couldn’t provide support at corporate sponsorship levels. Whatever the cost of the ticket you choose (they’re all listed on the Tickets page), buy it now, as we’ll surely hit the venue capacity sooner rather than later. And the lineup this year? It’s going to be amaaazing.
